“Funeral… was Friday…” This obituary appeared in the Saturday edition of the newspaper, so Friday was 27 July 1956. Sarah was interred at Morris Cemetery.

Sarah’s age given here, 67, doesn’t jibe with the birth date on her birth certificate, 29 December 1887. She would’ve been 68.

“Mrs. Mitchell died Wednesday…” That was 25 July 1956.

“…her husband, Jess…” Jess and Sarah were married circa 1918, according to the 1930 census. I haven’t yet found a marriage record.

“…Mrs. Sylvane Watts…” Sylvania Bohannon, who married James M. Watts in 1917.

“…Mrs. Pearl Jones…” Pearl Bohannon, who married Bryan Jones in 1917. Pearl was Sarah’s half-sister, her mother being Patrick Bohannon’s second wife Mary Wilbanks.

“…Miss Hester Bohanon…” Half-sister, her mother was Patrick’s third wife Mary Graham.

“…Chester Bohanon…” Half-brother, mother was Mary Graham.

“…Loy Bohanon…” Half-brother, mother was Mary Wilbanks.

“…Neal…” Half-brother, mother was Mary Graham.
