Glenda Niswonger

March 11, 1951 – June 27, 2016

Glenda Niswonger, of Vendor, passed from this life on Monday, June 27, 2016 in Little Rock, AR. She was 65 years old.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service is Saturday, July 2 at Big Creek Assembly of God, in Vendor, at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Phillip Pittman will officiate. A private burial will follow at Smith Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roger Smith, Michael Cross, Tommy Flud, Kevin Cook, Pete Kirk, and Bobby Peppers. Honorary pallbearers include her grandsons, nephews, and fellow teachers at the Mt. Judea School.

The daughter of Warden H. and Emogene (Martin) Davis was born on March 11, 1951 in Harrison.

Glenda had a 44 year teaching career with 41 of those at the Mt. Judea School. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Thomas Niswonger; one son and his wife, Craig and Weeji Niswonger; one daughter and her husband, Laura and Todd Bowles; five grandchildren, Meleah, Walker, Olivia, Katie, and Earl, all of Conway; and one sister and her husband, Wardena and Carl Smith, of Vendor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rockefeller Cancer Center on the UAMS Campus or to the Big Creek Assembly of God Church.

Notes

Glenda was the daughter of Emogene Martin, who was the daughter of Stella Viona Graham, who was the daughter of John Henry Graham and Matilda Bohannon.
