I’ve been getting a lot of spam and other unproductive comments on my journal articles lately, so I’ve made it so that to post a comment, a person must first log in with their WordPress, Twitter or Facebook accounts. This will significantly reduce comment spam, and allow me to block people that have nothing productive to add.

For my readers that have left constructive comments, I thank you. I hope that you continue to contribute.Registering for WordPress is easy and free.

I gave some thought to requiring registration just to read the journal, but decided against it at this time, as that would remove the journal from indexing by search engines such as Google. The pros of having a public journal far outweigh the cons.
